Step-up with Knee Drive & Eccentric Down
Ankle, knee, hip, & shoulders all working - I am all about more bang for your time. Multi-joint exercises do just that!
Give it a try to:
1) Find a bench to step up on.
2) Put your foot on the step, drive that hip back, lean slightly forward, as you push through that leg to step up on the bench.
3) As you reach the top drive the other knee up, balance at top for a count.
4) Slowly lower, driving the hip back, not letting the knee move in.
Repeat!
Too hard - try a much shorter bench. Drive the hip you are stepping onto, back. Keep knee out.
Too easy - add weights, reps & sets, play with different tempos.
Give it a try and let me know how you do!
